Impact Solutions have over 50 years experience in pipeline testing and the development of pipes and pipe-grade materials. Our experience spans across the material specification of plastic pipes, the manufacturing process, and their installation across the construction and oil & gas industries.
Our test laboratory has a full range of equipment for physical characterisation and mechanical testing including carbon black, microscopy, creep and tensile, and environmental stress crack resistance. Â We have in-house plastic pipe welding equipment and the facilities to undertake a wide range of pipeline and weld integrity tests to ISO, ASTM, and industry-specific standards.
We work with a number of the UK water and gas authorities to ensure the integrity of their pipelines through material qualification and quality assurance services, as well as providing services and expertise to a wide range of contractors. Â We are regularly involved in expert witness cases, and have close links to several independent industry experts in addition to our expertise, making us a true leader in pipeline testing.
We are also heavily involved in innovation partnerships, with a recent innovation the development of a non-destructive test technique for electrofusion joints. Â This innovation has made pipeline testing quicker, cheaper, and easier for companies around the world.
